The year is 2001, and nu-metal still rules the airwaves—until Time Bomb detonates with Sunset Strip swagger. Buckcherry’s sophomore album is a whiskey-soaked, middle-finger revival of ’80s hair-metal hedonism, wrapped in post-grunge grit. Frontman Josh Todd snarls through "Ridin’" and "Dead Again" like Axl Rose’s unhinged nephew, while "Time Bomb"’s chorus is a Molotov cocktail of gang vocals and Keith Nelson’s sleazy riffs. But beneath the debauchery ("Porno Star") lies surprising depth: "Whiskey in the Morning" aches with regret, and "Slaughtered" nods to Guns N’ Roses’ bluesy menace. Critics dismissed it as retro, but the album’s platinum single "Crazy Bitch" (later added to reissues) became a strip-club anthem, proving Buckcherry could out-party the jaded 2000s. A bridge between rock eras—raw, reckless, and unapologetically loud.
